::VASH THE STAMPEDE::
{Essentials}
Full Name: Vash the Stampede
Alias: The Humanoid Typhoon, $$60,000,000,000 man
Age: 150
Gender: Male
Height: 6' 5"
Weight: 185 lbs.
Classification: Sentient Plant
Occupation: Gunslinger
Alignment: Good
Group: Humanoid Typhoon
{Mental}
Personality:”Vash the Stampede... every time I observe his actions I can't help but sense something hidden deep within him, something we can't begin to understand. But this much is certain: everyone who has become involved with him has somehow regained an emotion which was once lost.”
Clumsy, goofy, and overtly kind are all characteristics that Vash the Stampede often portrays when in public. In most cases, he even exaggerates his ridiculous behavior as to mask his true identity. After all, no one would suspect the humanoid typhoon to be so spontaneous, right? Enjoying laughter, a good night on the town, and the simple things in life, Vash desperately seeks out the light in even the darkest and most withdrawn people. Holding a firm belief that every person should have the opportunity to live a full and peaceful life, he takes the idea to the extreme by disapproving of death under any circumstances. Never would he stand for a person to take their life or that of another, and often he can be seen getting involved in matters that no one else has the courage to tamper with.
Typically it is only when it becomes apparent that lives are in danger that Vash will put on a serious face, enduring extreme circumstances to help people. Luckily, he knows when to control his anger, and never will he kill an opponent, no matter how many times they attempt to put an end to him.
While he does indeed enjoy interaction with others, he often finds himself shying away from developing personal relationships. Ancient memories taught him how to love and never let go, but he is well aware of the danger that he brings with him, and never would he want someone he cares about to be harmed for simply associating themselves with him. Losing a loved one is what he fears the most, a feeling that he experienced in an excruciating way. Even as time passed, he cannot let go of a single woman, what she taught him, and what she meant to him. Because of this, he tries not to stay in one place for extended periods.
{Physical}
Appearance:”No, you’re wrong! Vash the Stampede is a tall man with blonde hair, a long red cloak and a giant gun!”
Despite his age, Vash the Stampede is actually a man with the looks and physique of a human in their late twenties. Quite tall in stature, he stands at a very impressive six feet, five inches. His thin but toned build give him an almost strange and lanky appearance, but it is generally hidden beneath the crimson trench coat he chooses as his trademark piece of apparel. The color red stands as a symbol of his determination, as well as a reminder of his past that he wears comfortably on his sleeve. Reaching his ankles, the coat actually acts as a small piece of protection, being large enough to mask his body to cause attackers to misjudge shots. The holes and tears detail that it has indeed saved Vash a great deal of grief over the years. Beneath he wears black armor, which provides very minor protection from certain gunfire and the penetration of knives. On his feet are two steel-toed boots, both containing concealed knives which he uses only when situations get particularly rough. They can be activated with a deliberate tap of the toe. Lastly, rounding out his wardrobe is a pair of yellow sunglasses.
Rarely does Vash ever have an expression of seriousness on his face, two turquoise eyes often looking out upon the world with kindness. His eyes are perhaps one of his more sensitive features, as they often portray what he is feeling despite his facial appearance. Just below his left eye, a tiny mole can also be seen. His head of blonde hair is worn spiked upward, in a sort of “broom” style, which often earns him some very embarrassing and childish nicknames. Nonetheless, he is very fond of the hairstyle and is rarely seen with anything different.
What is kept hidden from the public eye is that Vash’s left arm is actually a prostetic; a fake arm connecting in the hollowed limb. The cybernetic can act as a pistol when he gets in a bind or is disarmed, being especially made. Furthermore, his body is a mismatched patchwork of giant scars; chunks of missing flesh supported by sutures or meshed metal. He is very self-conscious of his body, not wanting anyone to set their eyes on the sacrifices he has made in his attempt to preserve human lives.

{Background}
Preforum History:”I'm like a hunter of peace. One who chases the elusive mayfly of love... or something like that.”
Born along with his twin brother Knives on the commanding ship of the SEEDS pioneer expedition, Vash started his life as one of the first sentient plants to ever live. Created by humans in hopes of procuring a renewable energy source, the plants were rarely allowed to develop and mature into their conscious personas. However, Vash and Knives had been given a chance at life due to the kindness of a woman who was onboard the ship, Rem Saverem. Rem acted as a maternal figure for the two young Plants, teaching them about the world that people once lived their lives in, and filling them with hope that one day they will find a new planet to start anew.
As the two grew older, some of the ship’s residents believes that the Plants were an abomination, mostly because of the behavior exhibited by Knives. Rem instilled a philosophy to Vash, that every being deserves life, which he kept with him even until this day. Finally, it was at the hands of Knives that the humans were set to a course on the nearby planet of Gunsmoke, after he set all ships for self-destruction. If it wasn’t for Rem’s selflessness, what little remained of the human race would have been destroyed, but instead she locked Vash and Knives inside of an escape pod and was able to prolong the explosion long enough for several of the ships to escape the blast radius.
Upon landing on Gunsmoke, Knives developed a “survival of the fittest” mentality, believing that human beings could never survive because they were inferior to Plants. On the other hand, Vash kept Rem’s words to heart and did whatever he could to protect the people from his brother and from themselves in these times of desperation. While many good and innocent people perished because of greed and malice, Vash also saved many from that fate for countless years.
Finally, the two met again in the city of July, where Knives taught him the power that their people were capable of. It was in July that Vash lost his left arm as he tried desperately to kill Knives, and he was forced by his brother’s control to destroy the entire city. In moments, every man, woman, and child had disintegrated into dust. Every building had been converted into rubble. July had vanished, and it was all because of Vash the Stampede, the humanoid typhoon.
Currently, Vash lives a life of a wanderer, a lone gunman who seeks to somehow bring peace to the world. With a bounty on his head, dead or alive, he is chased by many—bounty hunters, assassins, even normal every-day people. The desperation of the times leads even civilians to large lengths in an attempt to kill him to receive the sixty-billion double-dollars. While he knows that it could ease the suffering of some family, he cannot allow himself to be caught for fear that Knives may someday destroy all that remains of human society in the universe.

Strengths:
Vash the Stampede is able to evade capture for a reason—he is incredibly quick on his feet, intelligent, and skilled with the weapons he has at his disposal. His skill as a gunman is practically unmatched, and his kindness knows no bounds. He can keep his cool even in dodgy situations, and usually never fails at making quick and calculated decisions to selflessly save the lives of others. His familiarity with the land and the creatures that inhabit the planet also give him an edge when it comes to survival.
Weaknesses:
While his steadfast belief that human beings can do good is indeed one of Vash’s redeeming qualities, it is also his largest weakness. Time and time again he has been duped by those who he believes he can trust. When lives are on the line, he is in his most vulnerable state of mind, and he will go through extreme lengths to assure the safety of innocent people. The countless scars that mar his body are evidence of what choices he must make to save others when push comes to shove. Even so, the creed that he holds onto can never be broken; he can never kill another person. His attempts to spare lives naturally only creates even more enemies that he must face time and time again, and thus he must remain on the move so that no one he associates with will be harmed by those who hunt him.
Another weakness that is more obvious is his infatuation with beautiful women. For the infamous sixty-billion double-dollar man, women are perhaps his most dangerous adversaries. He does not particularly like getting in a fight with a woman, nor does he enjoy being tricked by one, thus he will do everything in his power to simply high-tail it at the first opportunity!
Oh… and another weakness. Donuts! They are heavenly…
