The classification of your character is important, as it will affect what sort of abilities they have and how others perceive them. Some examples of character classifications include…
Human
Humans make up the general populace of Gunsmoke, tenaciously making their mark on the world. Intelligent but forgetting the secrets of their past, their lives are generally spent worrying about how to make ends meet and how to survive in such an arid environment. Most humans assume everyday life as wanderers or working in the small businesses scattered throughout the land. Mankind is well-known for its greed and maliciousness, which is what often leads to the race turning on each other in times of desperation. Nevertheless, people can do good if they open their heart to it.
Suitable Groups:
- Assassin
- Bounty Hunter
- Bandit
- Civilian
- Tradesman
- Noble
Ogre
No one knows where ogres came from, but humans seem to believe that they are either some form of alien race or mutated, degenerated men. This “race” is rarely seen, being creatures that are often only known of in legend. Their strength is unmatched by anything that Gunsmoke knows of, as is their stature. Standing well over 20 feet in height, these people can easily destroy a town with little effort. They are well-known for their lack of intelligence and how easily they can be manipulated. They often have giant weapons at their disposal.
Suitable Groups:
- Assassin
- Bounty Hunter
Sentient Plant
Plants are an energy source which were originally created by human beings. Very few were allowed to mature to their sentient form, but those that were proved that they were very similar to their creators. The soul difference between the two is that the Plants are more resilient and have increased senses and physical abilities. They also “bind” to a specific weapon, which can actually become a part of them so that the power is amplified; however, because they cannot exceed their original purpose—an energy source—the Plant’s life is drained the more they use their weapon. There have been rumored sightings of angels in the deep deserts of Gunsmoke, and those rumors were more than likely the sighting of sentient Plants. When emotionally or physically strained, Plants can grow an angel-like wing, similar to their counterparts that are trapped within the energy bulbs.
Suitable Groups:
